Our Story
Samuel, who grew up in Illinois, came to California after high school and encountered the Love of Jesus that forever changed his life. He whole-heartily surrendered His life to Jesus and began pursuing a life of deep connection to God. He found his church family at Heritage Christian Fellowship.

Helen, who grew up in Southern California, devoted her life to Jesus in High School. She lived with many families where she learned from each about the heart of God, and chose to pursue Him with her whole heart and life. After high school she found her church family at Heritage Christian Fellowship.
​
Both having a deep love for God, love for people and passion for God's Word, they separately began serving in the youth ministry. Their friendship grew over time and in 2015 they were assigned to teach the same Sunday school class together. Shortly after that Samuel was pursuing Helen and their relationship began.
​
They were together for a year and spent a year apart growing and seeking God's purpose for their lives while Helen attending Bible College in Northern California. Upon her return to Southern California in 2017 they reconnected and the rest is history!
​
Their love for each other and love for the Lord is the driving force of their relationship and lives. Together they are mission-minded and in the united pursuit to advance God's Kingdom and carry His love and hope to the world.

Be sure to give yourself the travel-time necessary to arrive at the morning ceremony by 9:30a.m. The lunch reception to follow will be 45 minutes south of the ceremony.

If you are traveling from out of town to Southern California for the celebration, thank you so much! We have found that the most cost-effective stay possible will be found through AirBnb.com. When booking your stay through AirBnb or a hotel of your choice, book in one of the following cities:
- San Clemente
(City where the reception will be held)
